doomsday map

Anyone see the 2nd map that was put out showing if the Morganza isn't opened? holy crap I'm screwed if this happens-as well as the entire east bank of the river

The corps didn't even take into account levees when that map was created for areas of Lafourche parish. That map is BS.

I'm not sure how good of a job they did on the map in that area, but they didn't consider levees in Lafourche Parish when coloring the map so that would change it drastically here.

ok, sorry if this is a stupid question, bear with me...but how do you know they weren't considered/how can I tell if they were considered near me?

I am thinking this map was designed to show why they will flood all the small towns west of BR. I would think nothing eat of highland would flood in BR but I am no expert.
