The levee runs north south and last i heard the sea level isnt going to drop for us to handle the extra water. So therefore the extra water will backup around the levee through the previously mentioned canals and lakes. Pierre Part, Bayou Pidgen, and Bayou Sorrell are all directly in and inbetween these backwater areas.

not to mention this water isn't going to drop for a few months. Hopefully we don't get any low pressure systems in the gulf....
