If it needs to be moved to the OT then feel free to move it but I am trying to cut, trim and edit game films from my summer travel team plus other HS teams and travel teams to make highlights for a website I work with. What are the best video editing softwares available?

Final Cut Pro (for Mac)
Adobe Premiere (for PC)
Avid (for PC)

those are the best.

You probably dont' need all of that if you're cutting home movie footage. Most consumer level products are the same.

Adobe Premiere Elements (PC)
Final Cut Express (Mac)

will probably be good enough for you. They have free trials as well.
