Great work Tim! Your vectoring work goes beyond "farking" into quality artwork. One of the more interesting techniques I've seen on any board.

Thanks for not letting the bad apples keep you from contributing.

sheeeit, i'm just trying to learn from the pros on here

quote:

- Up your saturation and contrast (to separated "planes" of color)

- Select some of the more textured areas with the magic wand (set on 25-30)

- Use eyedropper to pick a single color for the section and then fill it (The dark area at the top can be filled with a single color, the grass could be broken down into 2 shades easily - you'll get the hang of it from there).

yes, though i love the direction, I'm still trying to get rid of the effect on his face and arms to make him look less like Fire Marshal Bill

All this for a wallpaper. Thank you, my dear!

Here's a quick one...

ETA:

I tried another one as a GIF with a reduced color spectrum...

Thank you so much, Troubl!

The way my posterize rendered mine, there were dots all over the place not letting me select anything but a single dot at a time.

You're the best!

(Final question: where did you select the option [in PhotoShop] to reduce the color spectrum?)

I always save my work in 2 formats until I'm ABSOLUTELY sure I'm done... So PSD for layers then I use "Save for Web or Device" in the same drop-down menu. It automatically flattens the image for a copy (but leaves the original in layers alone). You can choose if you want it to be a JPEG, PNG or whatnot on the right side (allows you to make an object on a transparent background as well). I saved it as a GIF but turned down the colors from 128 to 32 on the drop-down... Continued to knock it down one color at a time until it reached the last good-looking amount. That knocks off tons of size in KB as well.

Shameless bump of one of my favorite pieces for Ridley's eligibility.
