I met Buddy while he was hangin' his hat in Fort Worth about ten years ago. He would often sing and play drums (or guitar) on "Amatuer Night" at JJ's Blues Bar (in quotes because MANY well-known musicians would show up and jam).
My friend who introduced us was at one time married to a "blues man" and had many connections in the music world. She showed up at JJs with the JGB one night... Stevie Wonder occasionally called her cell... Now I'm thinkin' she MUST know Rueben Randle.

Where was JJ's located? We used to live in Ponder, TX and went to Fort Worth once in a while. But we didn't to many clubs over there.

I haven't been since I last worked the Backstage Club at the FW Stock Show & Rodeo in 2002... they were open 5 days a week then - now only 2.
