Purple and gold?

This is a shot from one of my fireworks shows and I think it would look awesome in purple and gold. Here is the high res pic. I tried to alter the picture, but it looked like crap. So I figured I would come to the professionals 
Any takers?

Hey jltise1, sorry I'm not on my good computer right now i just did a quick and dirty one. I'll get back at it when I'm on my real comp again.
BTW The best way to approach this one is to select the black background with your magic wand tool and copy it to a new layer and then delete it from the front layer. That way when you adjust the hue/saturation you are only adjusting the fireworks instead of the background too. Just a tip for the next image edit.
