I own a macbook pro and I was wondering if there are any free basic photo editing programs that I could get. The main things that I want to do are add color and words to pictures.

i forgot about photoshop. Being an LSU student I can remotely access this through the library

You can pick up a used photoshop 7.0 on ebay for usually around $30 bucks. That will work fine on tiger but if you use leopard you are going to have to spend a little more.
