Need some help with a logo

I am trying to help someone make a logo, but learned very quickly that I suck at making shite on the computer and don't have a program that can do anything. With that being said, I was hoping someone could help me.
I am trying to take this image or something similar, change the colors to Pelicans colors (navy and gold, with some cardinal red accents) and add the name XaaSoo in the middle

Something like this? It needs to be cleaned up a little, but I didn't want to spend the time if this is way off base.
