Need some Help please

What is the organization/details?

Do you want a date/year etc on it?

I'll definitely get on this tomorrow, it's getting a little late and I'd want to do a good job, don't pick a winner too soon

Child - I really like the first one..looks good.

Tim - I do realize the costs associated with images...I was hoping it would be easier to "photoshop" an existing image and do not know how to do it. We are trying to keep our costs down so we can then put the profit back to LSU - through scholarships.

I was hoping someone would like to have a shirt..and if they are in the Pensacola area May 21..they would be guests of the club.

We are going to have white and grey shirts, but I realize now, black would be one of the three. So Black, Red and purple (I think the hat could just be outlined and remain the color of the shirt...or maybe even purple?)

Would it be easy to add "Pensacola" arched over the top with "Bayou Bengals" underneath..then "2011" under that?

If my reply seemed rude, I apologize. That was not my intention. I was trying to illustrate how difficult some tasks (especially designs drawn from scratch) can be. I am happy to help if I can.

Screen printing is much better than digital printing. Clean and sharp.

Let me know if you need any additional edits. And should you use these designs, I would love a shirt.

Tim, what is the best way to do the curved text on Gimp, if you dont mind me asking? I've only been messing with this for about a week and am trying to learn all I can, TIA

I don't use GIMP. I use PAINT.net. I learned a lot of tricks with microsoft paint. Then I found Paint.net and my skill grew with the greater functionality and practice. At one point, I tried GIMP as it is my more powerful but it kept crashing and frustrating me to no end. So I went back to what I know.

As for your question, I don't know how to arch text. I use Microsoft Word, Text art. Then I copy and paste into a new layer. This can be a tedious process to get correct. And I am sure there are much better ways. However, that is how I do it.

PAINT.net has some real limitations with text. If you go too large, you can see the pixel edges. This shouldn't happen as TFF files stores individual letters as vectors and not raster files. But it does.

Logo work is usually best done using Vectors. I use freeware called Inkscape. There is a method to set text on a specific path (like a curve or arch) but I cannot figure it out.

That was probably more than you anticipated. And like I said, there are much better ways to do a lot of this stuff. This is just my method.
