Need advice please

I am just starting to get into photoshop and I don't understand too much. People have told me to find tutorials online but I'm not sure where to start. Youtube? Special sites? Any help is appreciated...

YouTube. It helps if you have specific things you are trying to do. There are basic skills you need to learn but everything, there are multiple ways to do something.

I've been playing around with Photoshop for
about 8 years now, but I'm still learing a lot
about the program even now, through YouTube
Videos. Those are good for learing the basics
all the way up to specific tools and special
effects.

also, you can google for stuff like "retro video game text photoshop" (or whatever you're trying to do) and see what kind of tutorials are out there. even if you don't use the final product, working through the tutorial is fun and you'll get better at any beginner, intermediate or expert skills required in the tut.
