More help with a design and it's format

I'm putting an order in on some things and here's the reply I got and I said I was going to see if I was going to be able to get this done with you geniuses.

GOP likely has this file stored as a vector. What he gave you was a raster exported bitmap. We can't post vector files so that's the best hosted image you can get here. He will need your email address to send you the file.
If I were to print that to a PDF, it wouldn't have high enough resolution for your printer. You need the original vector image printed to PDF or in AI/SVG format.
The image here isn't a hand drawn vector. It's a vector trace, I just don't have as good of tracing software to help. I could print the image and do it by hand but it's quite a bit of work and I don't want to take that much time if you like the current design as is.

He did send it as an .ai file so far.
I'm helping someone out with this and I'm not sure that's what he sent the company doing the work.
They want to edit some color on the image and asked for such format.

If you have the AI file, they should be able to work that.
Tell your friend to send them that file, not just the provided bitmap.
Most printers charge by the color. So it's ideal to get an image done with the fewest colors possible without compromising the final image. But it really depends on what is getting printed and they type of printing used. This can be kind of difficult.
