This is my first attempt at trying to create a realistic animated smoking .gif

solid...maybe darken his face up a bit, or lighten up the rest, only thing I can noticeably tell.

Thanks for the responses y'all. I did tweak the skin tone on Les a little but felt he was starting to get to red faced. I should have played with the skin tone of the chest. I also wasn't sure if my smoke was going to work as well as it did. All and all I was very happy with the finished product.

Looks great. Now all it needs is a couple of hos on each shoulder and the crystal ball in the background.

I got the idea and looked around on YouTube and found a GIMP smoke tutorial that was only three minutes long. It showed the steps and the filters to use. I created a new layer and followed the steps, then duplicated that image/layer and manipulate it. Then just kept repeating, duplicate manipulate duplicate manipulate till I made twelve layers of the smoke rising and changing shape. Once that was complete, I put Les' head on The Most Interesting Man In The World, added the cigar, created multiple layers and copy and pasted my smoke in place. For the cigar ember I used the neon effect.
