Graphic design for a large vinyl wrap

Doing some design work for a wrap for my buddies boat. It's a 31ft boat, so the final images will be fairly large.
Is there anything I need to keep in mind given the large size? I was planning to have vector files of the images, as the background will be solid black. Just not sure what the shop will need file/image wise for something like this.
Anyone have experience with something along these lines?

If you're working in vector, your sign shop will thank you.
You also don't have to design at 100% scale. You can design in 1/12th scale, meaning for a 31ft. boat you can make the design 31 inches instead. Also don't forget to include several inches of "bleed" or overlap in your design around all the edges.
