Tigerweezy,
I assume you are using the Paint.net program that I suggested. If so, you need to download a few plug-ins. They are on the paint.net forum.
You need a command called "feather." It will blend the edges of cut-out images (renders) to help them blend with background layers.
Also there is fairly good youtube tutorial on how to cut out images using a masking layer for better results.
Paint.net is fairly powerful with practice and your first attempt looks pretty good. I'm sure you will be creating some really quality stuff soon.

yea im using the paint.net that you suggested and i did have a little trouble blending the edges and i knew there had to be some kind of way to get rid of that, i now know.
