Clarification needed please...

While we are required to use at least eight of the original source images in our entries, are we able to bring in other images, like Tiger1066 did to make the original source images work? I'm not picking on Tiger, I just wasn't aware this could be done. While the source images are varied, it is very challenging to use only those sources. I made it work in my entry, but I can see where it would be difficult without other sources to make the originals work. What is your verdict, oh great Purple one...yeah or neah to additional sources beyond what was already submitted?

I agree with Rockford. We need to be able to use other images to make the original source images work. If that is approved, I believe we'll see more entries, because I'm stumped for the moment to come up with more entries if we are restricted to using only the originals. So...Are additional source images okay as long as we use at least the minimum eight of the originals. What say you...great purple one?

Rules

Farks must contain /use a minimum of 8 source photos in the fark

Farks must convey a message (not just a random compilation of pictures stuck together) i.e. make the characters interact with each other, objects, and settings in a meaningful way.

Maximum 10 submissions per farker.

Each entry must have a title for the submission and a label of category 1 or category 2

Editing is allowed but voting will not start until after final submissions are made and locked.

Two categories of farks will be judged:

Cat 1 uses minimum 8 of the source pictures but incorporates only source pictures in original thread without additional material

Category 2 uses at minimum 8 of the source pictures but may also incorporate other images especially backgrounds and stand in items like tables or signs.
(Please don’t incorporate someone else’s farks. That would be theft)

Final contributions are due by midnight of MAY 31

We will start a separate thread on June 1 for judging only, on the OT (hopefully an Admin will sticky)

Final votes will be submitted by June 12th at midnight and the winner announced the following day.


I would love to send the winners a "master Farker" T-shirt if I could figure out how to get it to these elusive posters. However, many have said being recognized is prize enough.
