I did a little video editing in college. I adored it. I'd love to get into some video and photo editing. Yea, to make spicy memes. Also, to make some content. For local community stuff, myself, etc.
What are some programs/softwares that are affordable and let you do a decent bit? Power director 365 looked promising. Adobe looked good but a little expensive (at least for videos).
Figured this was the most appropriate board. Maybe the tech board?

There's farking for fun. And there's doin' work.
Adobe Photoshop is the gold standard if you've got the coin and want to be serious.
I just do it for fun. I have a lot of applications. SmartPhoto Editor. Use the ancient PhotoImpact X3 all the time just because I still like it. InPixio Photo Studio 11. Not mainstream stuff but for just goofing around, I love them.

Adobe still reigns on top as far as paid software goes. However, all the gifs and memes I post on here are made on my phone. The photoshop mix app by Adobe is free and is superb for editing pictures. For videos and gifs I use the free CapCut app which seems to have unlimited capabilities. Unless you trying to produce something highly professional, I recommend using these free apps.
