Basic Adobe Photo Shop question

I've had adobe photo shop elements 6 for a few years now. Rarely use it. Not even sure why i bought it to be honest. But now i'm trying to do what i think is the simplest thing ever - take an image i've saved and add it on top of another image i've saved. For example - taking an image of a whiskey glass and putting into the hand of an image of bobby cox. For the life of me I can not figure out how to do it. Do i go to full edit with the existing image and bring in the other one? I'm lost to all hell and back. Any help more than appreciated.

Yeah you can search for basic Photoshop tutorials and there are so many helpful ones all over the place, including good tutorials on YouTube.
