Adding a digital border or logo to a batch of photos in one step?

Fark gods,
My wife is volunteering to take pictures for an event this weekend and would like to add a digital overlay to all of them with the name and date of the event. Is there simple software available to add this to an entire batch of photos instead of adding it to one photo at a time? Any suggestions are appreciated.
TIA

I'm sure there are several PS scripts that would do batch automation. I know there are some for resizing a whole camera roll (ie. folder).
Edit: This could probably work

There are many action available that you can download modify the text and use to do the job. The easiest way to do what you want is create a action the adds a text layer. The action would be recorded like this. 1.) Image Size resample NOT checked set with to 8" (this does not change a single pixel just changes the print DPI) 2.) Use text tool add the text you want in the upper left hand corner. (Because you size all images 8"" wide the text will be the same relative size for all images sizes like 3MP, 10MP ,22MP.... This text step will need to be rerecorded for each shoot) 3.) Add a layer style to the text layer. (You can make the text transparent or semi transparent, Drop Shadow emboss etc) 4.) Select all 5.) Menu Layers> Align Layers to selection> Bottom edge 6.) Menu Layers> Align Layers to selection> Right edge (These two steps will position the text into the bottom right corner) 7.) Menu Edit> Free transform Tap the up arrow and left arrow keys about ten times each. Then press enter to record the transform.

Thanks, she uses Photoshop and I'll show her this if there is nothing easier.
I was hoping to find something simple. I assumed there was something available that the party pic companies use that tags all photos from an event.

I would be willing to bet that the party pic folks also use something similar although they probably have their own copyrighted program to do them in bulk x a gazillion. I'll keep looking for you though.

Batch automation is simple, you just have to be familiar with it
Familiar is a relative term.

Thanks again. I think she understands the directions more than I do.

I second the Batch Automation in adobe photoshop. I'm sure there are plenty of helpful youtube videos on it, I did a quick search and found a few. Maybe use the word "watermark" when you search because it would basically be the same concept.

Good idea, but only if all those photos were taken at the same time with the same time stamp.
