A Question for my fellow Farkers....

The "Best Fark" thread got me mulling this... I was thinking it would be cool to have a "Personal Favorites 2009" Gallery Thread. A "Fark Show" of sorts - not a contest, just a retrospective-type thing where each of us can display 5 or 10 (or 15?) of the images we have created over the course of 2009.... Could be things posted before or stuff created for other sites, personal projects etc...
I just think it would be a pretty cool year's end "icing on the cake" to have a collective "Fark 2009"....
Agree? Disagree? Ideas?

I think its a good idea. It puts everyone's best works/personal favorites in one spot for all to see. Being new to the community of Fark, it would make it easier than clicking on all the threads looking for the quality.

Don't have that much work as I just started farking the last few months, but I think it's a pretty good idea. Kinda like an art gallery of sorts.

That's an excellent idea Troubl. 12 entries sounds fair and the date is good for me. It would be nice to include your comments on what was your inspiration for doing it, etc. Draw up the rules and let's do it!

Great idea. I'm heading out of town until after New Years. Hopefully this thread will still be up and running after that.

I just went through my files and pulled some favorites. It was around thirty images to start. As I tossed some it was difficult to keep the keepers to just 12 images...15 would be very workable. I'll make it work if you set it at 12 though.

That works for me - I had a hard time whittling down my potential submissions.
Here's the thing... I'm hoping for feedback from some of the new and part-time farkers. I don't want any one poster's number of submissions to overpower others. A minimum number of entries should be considered as well. Perhaps 5 - 15 images each would be an acceptable range.

I strongly encourage the new, part-time and lurker wanna-be farkers to participate in the gallery when it opens. The Fark Board is an excellent forum for everyone, regardless of skill level, to participate. Yurintroubl has said this many times...You don't have to have the greatest skills to be funny here. It's the idea you come up with that's valuable. Your technical skills will improve as you hang around here and learn from everyone. I have learned so much from everyone since I've been coming here. It will make you a better farker and definitely twist your mind forever!
