Can a commish enter picks for someone during a live draft?

Meaning if a league is set up for a live draft where 3 people will draft offline (in person) and the other participants will participate in the live draft can the commish enter the picks for the people in the room with him that don't have computer access?

I know that you can use clickydraft for this sort of thing, and the commish can enter all the picks later.

You're confusing me with terminology. When you say "live draft" do you mean online? Typically live draft and offline are interchangeable terms but I don't think that's what you mean.

If your situation is where 3 guys are going to be drafting in the same room and then the rest of the league is planning to do it online, here are my thoughts.

1. You can still use the draft app and do an online draft and the commish enter picks for those without access as it happens - BUT I would not recommend this. It's time consuming in the moment and the commish will be scrambling the whole night. No fun.

2. You can have everyone draft on line and the 3 people who are together are just online drafting in the same room. Not a bad option but it's meh.

3. Make the whole draft offline and have the people who are not present facetime/Skype/google hangout/ etc. and make their picks that way.

#3 is what I would go with. The commish can keep track of picks as they happen in excel or word or whatever is easiest, and also have each owner email him their team after the draft just so commish can double check everything. Then the commish can go in later and manually enter each team's players.

This method will make the draft last a lot longer, but it will be the most fun method for everyone. Good luck and enjoy. Live drafts are the best.

Sorry about that...

Yahoo calls the online drafts "live"

I was able to get in touch with someone at yahoo who said what you suggested in #1 is not possible. Basically it reverts to auto draft for those who are not logged in to draft online.

It's only one person who can't attend so he's just going to call in. Not what I wanted but it's the best option I think.

Thanks -

ha, no problem! I've never heard it referred to in that way - stupid yahoo...

Looks like you got it all worked out. One person calling in is no big deal. I've done an offline draft where 4 out of 12 had to call/Skype in and it was fine. Enjoy the draft!
