Chill out redd

Why? I am looking for some consistency in this logic and I am finding none.

Sounds to me like some people are pissed they missed out on the firesale. In fact, I stated last night that I was sad because I felt I netted less than all of the other people that got players from Boo.

because the trades are retarded

answer my question from earlier. if you're offered the exact reverse deal that you got last night, do you make it?

People love conflict. Just look at the past actions of rouge, nobes, pnaq etc the past few years on TD.com. They loved causing uprisings and often tried to cause conflicts. So objecting trades in turn causes people to come here and bitch which in turns gets their little pathetic peckers hard

So how would you feel if I traded Mike Moustakas (assuming I had him) and a 2nd round pick for Arod and a 16th?

Would that be non objectionable IYO?

That doesn't matter. At all. You are totally missing the point of voting on trades. It's not about whether or not the trade is 100% equal. It is to prevent collusion. That's it.

Find any kind of collusion, and you have a case. Until then, there is no basis for the veto on any of those deals.

I have before

I have traded Halladay for Sandoval

A Gone for Curtis Granderson and something

I also traded Longo/Miggy for Pujols and A-rod

did you care this much then?

redd, your stats are only for this season

they dont take into account the badass career that Santana has had to this point

since this is a keeper league, that fricking matters....... A LOT

you got a keeper for a pick and a shitty AAA catcher

it's ok to admit it

I would be pissed that I didn't get in on that action.

And unless you made the deal with your best friend IRL who had no intentions of playing next year, then I would not object to the trade. Plain and simple.

When you factor in his injuries, the fact that I said going into this year that I thought he was headed downhill, and then fact that his K totals are in the fricking toilet, then past success doesn't matter.

Like I said, you guys just see a name and think "OMG it's Johan! He's a top 5 pitcher in the league!!!"

Not anymore.

you are really now being a serious fig

the point of vetoing trades is NOT ONLY TO PREVENT COLLUSION

if i see that your team is getting significantly better from a trade that will make it more difficult for me to compete and win, you can bet your fricking arse that i am going to veto it

my veto of your deal is about me. you just got a lot better and i want to fricking win, so frick you and frick your trade.

seriously though Rouge, you need a closer?

Bell comes at the same price as Rivera, and he's a much better keeper given that Rivera is about to die of old age.

That is NOT why the right to veto is put in place. The only reason it is in place is to prevent collusion. McCain didn't want to have just the commissioner in charge of trade approvals in case a time came up where he himself made a trade.

I pretty much veto any trade that doesn't involve me getting Albert Pujols. That's why Joe's trade has one less objection than yours does, Redd.

Could you imagine if trades had to be approved by the league owners in MLB. Nothing would ever go through because somebody's team would be getting better, or heaven forbid, BOTH teams got better.

What a crock of shite.
