7 objections to a trade that netted me a mediocre pitcher. I just don't understand it. I'm starting to get the impression that half this league just doesn't watch baseball at all.

Seriously... Johan was my 5th best starter... barely. Lilly was about to pass his arse up. And Garcia would be in front of him too if the trade with Joe goes through.

The rule is that a trade can get 7 objections. After the 8th objection, it goes to the commissioner for approval. I'd love to hear from the 7 that objected and get solid input as to how a trade of a SP that isn't even in the top 50 for a top prospect and a pick is collusion.

as far as my deal

Boo upgrades at 1st

Me at pitcher (but based on recent rankings I am also downgrading)

Plus the pick should offset the "big" names

The #4 prospect according to Baseball America is nothing?

I asked him if Montero and a pick would net me Johan. He said yes. I sent the offer. He accepted. What's so hard to understand?

Montero is hitting .235 in AAA

hardly a top prospect right now

You aren't downgrading shite at pitcher and you know it.

I would have never made that deal without the first-round pick.

that ranking came out before his putrid season in AAA and him getting benched for lack of hustle

He's 20 years old for frick's sake. He's still adjusting. So just because you wouldn't make the deal means that you should reject it? It's obvious that it's not collusion. If you think it's bad for the league, then you should have objected to every trade that went down last night.

Yes, because 20 year olds never struggle when adjusting to moving up levels.

I was basing it on this

1. Ubaldo Jimenez, Clams
2. Josh Johnson, Gyno
3. Adam Wainwright, Geaux
4. Stephen Strasburg, :earl: (this should make for interesting conversation)
5. Jaime Garcia, Geaux
6. Jered Weaver, Knat
7. Roy Halladay, Boo

I know and to me that is what evened it out

This can't be right. Johan has to be #1, judging by the reaction to the trade.
