So is there anyone Cam Newton is NOT worth?
I know he's had a hot start to the season, but i can't put him in a class of players such as Brees, Rodgers, AP, Ray Rice, Wes Welker and the like just yet.

I'm not in need of a QB. I'm happy with Schaub, but there are weeks (like this one and Schaub's bye) that i would want to start newton.
But he's not worth trading Welker for, IMO.
For the record, I am 4-1 and in 1st place. Welker has played a huge role in that.

So pick up a QB off waivers and stop bitching. CN is worth WWelker, no matter how much you do not believe it. It is called REALITY.

You guys are saying CN is worth Welker. I'm saying if he's worth Welker, is there anyone he is not worth (like Ray Rice).

Again, it goes back to that team. If someone needs a QB badly, technically any other top position is worth it if scoring favors QBs.
Back to you needing a backup, can't you just pick up someone for that one week? No sense in trading away a #1 for a one week starter. Logic would tell you that Welker is a freak this year and will help balance out a temp QB for a week.
I have Welker and Megatron and my QB was off last week and I just picked up Jason Campbell for that week and still won.
What QBs are available on the wire?

We are in 100% agreement here. And that is what I just did.
If I were in desperate need of a QB, Cam Newton would probably be worth Welker. But i am not in desperate need of a QB. On the other hand, the team who has Cam Newton rotting away on the bench, could use a WR. In our circumstances, I feel like Desean Jackson (my WR2) would be fair value for Newton.
But i'm not going to part with my WR1 weekly starter for a QB who scores 8-10 pts more (and some weeks equal pts) than Schaub. Makes no sense to me.
And just to answer your edited question, I picked up Mccoy. He plays Jacksonville Week 11 (the week of Schaub's bye)

no one gives a frick dough, even dough cam newton is a beast. theres no way he can bring your team up from 0-5
