Here is my insight on Addison Russell. Looking at his minor league career he's a .301 hitter and avgs close to 20/20 per year. At age 21 how does that project into the majors. Let's say everything goes right for him, and I mean everything. You are looking at a .280 hitter with 17 homers and 20 steals the rest of the year. But if he struggles at all he'll be sent down to AAA because they have other options at 2nd base. If Javier Baez puts his act together he'll the starting 2nd baseman. Not to mention that already on the 40 man roster is Herrera and Alcantara who can be viable fill ins till either Baez or Russell is ready.
What's he worth? I can't say for sure, but I'll put a bid in for more then what I perceive his value is simply because I don't have a viable alternative at 2nd base.
