On paper, it isn't terrible... In the past 30 days, CJ averaging 21.1 fppg and Barton averaging 18.8 fppg. Durant is averaging 29.2 fppg.

I think Durant fetches more than CJ and Barton. At least two low 20 fppg scorers IMO. I also see where others are saying that the expectation of regression is real. That shouldnt factor into a veto though.

Shouldn't have been vetoed though

Barton/CJ are not worth Durant who is a proven top 3 guy. Fear can easily get something much more even in terms of value if he looks hard enough.

Its desperate and not logical. Less has a much higher chance of coming out on top than fear in this deal.

Still in all,Fear thinks this makes his team better. He's not eliminated from the playoffs yet. He's earned the right to manage his own team.

Durant is number 7 in points scored(with missing games so he'd be a lock for top 3 or 5) and number 2 in avg

CJ and Barton are number 37 and 44 respectively and 49 and 54 in avg

Its not equal or fair value

well I mean I can't get any worse than last place. This trade could end up terrible for me if regression happens which is likely but really what will I have lost. can't go below last

maybe not but given I have dogshit at sg and this gives me flexibility at sf pg and sg. You have to factor in that. You also have to factor in that NO ONE IS GIVING THESE AMAZING OFFERS YALL KEEP TALKING ABOUT

Fear you need to send offers out to someone

If you really want to move Durant you need to look at wings and or a PG that are high end top 25 overall guys that can immediately turn you around and you know what to expect.

If that's not terrible, I don't know what is. Even if that is sustainable, how the frick is Barton's 18.8 over his replacement gonna make up for the 8.1 points he's giving away from Durant to CJ?

WTF does how bad his team is have to do with it? You think his team is bad because of Durant's 29 points a game? He's not taking scoring opportunities away from anybody else. More points can only be good. The worst record team giving up an incredible amount of points to the team with the best record in the division is not a mutually beneficial or "shake things up" move.

bullshite call for veto. bullshite to let ppl outside the league try to influence the veto too.

Like tots said, terrible precedent.

I really don't care either way. my terrible start and no chance of making any noise has me extremely apathetic about the rest of the season. that and the pelicans sucking has me not paying attention to bball at all this year.

Until who decides it's even?

We don't trust each owner to manage their own teams?

I'm gonna leave this alone. I just think Pandora's box has been opened.
