Should get the call up after getting pulled today after 2 innings with Cueto going on the DL.

He's put up sick numbers in 12 innings this year in AAA, and has had a K/9 greater than 10 since being drafted. Only thing is he throws his fastball 90% of the time.

What's everyone's prediction for him should he get Cueto's next start?

I think he will fill in good by looking at his minor league stats. Probably a 3-4 starter in the future.

With him wualifying at RP, I am considering taking a stab at him in the FA pool to replace that Jap from the Cubs for me.

What would he get, maybe two-three starts?

Depends, I mean Mike Leake isn't quite a killer SP

I have a weak pitching staff...I could use the Ks and he would be a fabulous keeper to add.

I have the Jap closer from the Cubs but just am not sold on him...I really don't know what to with my RPs.

I have Frieri, Holland, that Jap and Glen Perkins. Holland and the Jap suck and Frieri is solid but will likely be moved once Madson comes back.

I am in a 14 team league and I grabbed him before he got the call because I know he would have been snagged up quick.

He pitched well in a relief role during his cup of coffee last year.

If he can command the fastball, then he will be effective.

He's worth an add Big Swam. Reds will probably make him a set up man though

They had a chance to do that when Marshall went down, but they decided to keep him as a starter in case someone went down.

If he pitches well, I could see them sending Leake down to AAA. If he doesn't, he will go back to AAA himself.

I was joking

You know, make best pitching prospect a closer. 2nd best becomes setup man

Pass initially. Tough home ballpark and not good command of secondary pitches is a recipe for trouble. This isn't the international league anymore

I tend to agree with you. If you have room to stash then stash.

Redd, how's his secondary pitches?
