Would interleague play be an option? I think it would be cool to play 2 games vs the other conference during the reg. season (if there are 13 regular season games)

2 things:
1-The proposed scoring change wouldn't make this necessary.
2-Once again, for competitive balance (IMO) it's not fair to cross conferences and play. One team could greatly benefit from playing bottom feeders of the other conference whereas someone is playing the beast teams

teams have the chance of loading up on bottom feeders in their own conference, too

Its really no different than someone getting lucky by playing the same shitty conference opponent twice while someone else has to play a really good conference opponent twice.
