A cool slow-frame look at Tim Lincecum's throwing motion.

He basically holds that knuckle ball with three fingers. I had a buddy of mine that used to throw a mean KB and used to throw it to me out of the blue when we were warming up for a game. It was like trying to catch a moth in the air.

Sounds like a line from crouching tiger hidden dragon.

Bob Uecker, on the best way to catch at knuckle ball:

Wait for it to stop rolling and pick it up.

That's about right. But if you get just a little rotation, they're meat.

News: The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that Indians CF Grady Sizemore could return as early as next week. Speculation is that he could join the team when they go on a seven-game road trip to Kansas City and Minnesota. He played with Double-A Akron on Tuesday and went hitless in three at-bats with a walk, but manager Manny Acta has expressed optimism about a return before the end of the month. Sizemore was hitting .455 in 11 rehab at-bats entering Tuesday, and had a pair of hits in each of his last two contests before the 0 for 3 effort.

Bryce has started slow though

He's crushing it and V Wells is batting under .100. I have him in RW3R - would love to get him up this year along with Hosmer.

IMO, Harper will improve greatly in the 2nd half, a la Montero last year. Trout will move fast. I remember seeing an interview with him in the booth, right after he signed, and thinking "I need to keep my eye on him". I had no idea he'd turn into the player he is though. Many teams passed on him because guys coming from the cold weather in the northeast have some question marks surrounding them, due to limited playing time. Scioscia has a hard on for running, so he'll have sick numbers with the Angles.
