He will be a 20 ppg scorer within a few years. I think we are selling short just how talented he is. Yeah he likes to pass but he scores with ease. He's going to be an elite fantasy player soon.

I'm with Matty V on this. Just not sold on him as elite elite.

Yea man, he doesn't have to have draymond intensity to have Draymond numbers. What do Ben's bust numbers look like? I don't see the low fg% and the ft should be around 70.

If he gets to the line 8-10x per game it won't be hard to get 18-20 a night with ease

I think he has a path to being elite without scoring 20ppg. I don't think he scores with ease against NBA SF's and PF's.

There aren't many PF that can guard him. You can count them on 1 hand or maybe 3 fingers

Except he has SF length. so SF will probably be guarding. Like Lebron PG Durant Giannis Justice Winslow etc. shite even Tatum didn't have too much problem guarding him last night. He's 6'10 but not the biggest wingspan.

and he hasn't wanted to exploit people in the paint, and can't shoot from 3.

I disagree with you on that. I don't think he is a bust so I don't know what those numbers look like.

My guess for year one would be:

15ppg 7reb 5assist and less than 2 blocks + steals. FG% will hover around 45% and FT around 67%

I see no world where simmons scores 20 a game until his shot making improves.

He maxes out round 18-19

That's ROY numbers. I love ben. But that's what I see him as too. I might even give him 6.5 assists

He's 6'10" with the same wing span as Lebron, the fastest 3/4 court sprint of any player 6'8" or taller in the draft express database, and the tallest standing vertical reach of any player in said data base.

I mean his length isn't bad. He's still 6'10". He can still jump out the gym. He is still a blur with the ball. Length doesn't determine who can guard you

That's what I see but bump those assists up to 7.5-8 and the points down a bit. I don't think we are disagreeing on much.

You're stuck on this shooting thing. There are a ton of players over time that couldn't shoot that were great scorers. All are generally freak athletes and great ball handlers, which Simmons falls under.

Maxing out at 18-19. I mean we're pretty much talking about the same type of scorer

People rarely change their minds mid argument, so don't expect it to happen but I totally agree. We are acting like 20 a game is so rare. 33 players averaged at least 20 a game last year. We seriously think that guys like Goran Dragic and Mike Conley can get 20 a game but Simmons can't?

He will be North of 20 within the next 3 years and will stay there for the rest of his career.

Yeah I like the pick and think he is going to be an elite fantasy guy. I just don't see him being 20ppg for a while. He might end up a better fantasy guy than real life player. Maybe I'm just salty, but I watched so many games that left with me questioning his effort.

I think I've just seen too many anti Ben takes on this site. Give me all the Simmons stock compared to that.
