What is your reasoning other than "it's a dynasty league"? We were clear that this was going to mimic tdba and those were the settings because the draft is not exclusively to rookies. Since you can add non-rookies in the draft it makes no since to allow you or anyone else to add one of those players between now and the draft.
If it means that much to you we can put it to a vote. I honestly would prefer a rookie only draft and allow free agent additions all year, but I don't think it makes sense to allow it as is.
