Taking on the oldest roster in the league and the best player being JJ Reddick is the issue. Me trying to rebuild it isn't the issue. This all started when I had the nerve to drop Trevor Ariza and Justis Winslow when I first took over the team. Some in the league got hysterical. They don't think rationally. They don't understand those two people provide no value to a team not looking to win for 2-4 years.
I had no other alternative than to try and make crazy trades and pick up young players and hope a couple of them broke out. From there, hopefully, I would draft well. I wasn't going to be winning in 4-5 years by sitting around with Trevor Ariza and Al Horford on my team.
I'm not going to go in circles about it again. You can read through the thread where I explained my logic very clearly. No one could challenge me, but they could continue to cry and get hysterical.

Wait, what?
He doesn’t own his first rounder? Is this real? What trade?
So RMCC still made the Tatum trade and didn’t even ask tom back for a first knowing he didn’t own a first?

I believe Ariza went for $350 in faab. So yeh, you could have gotten something back for him rather than a clean drop.
But i don’t want to go 10 rounds with you. You’re out of this league.
I’m all for an expansion draft for Gyno. Each team is allowed to protect 8 of its players. Have Gyno pick from each team (can take max of two from one team). Just throwing shite up against the wall

He has his 1st. I think Gyno meant from last year.

Ohhh. Ok
Yeh jumpy ran that team into the ground and then bailed. And thinks it’s OK. That’s what’s astonishing to me.

He does not suck but in the context of a team that is not looking to win in the short-term he's useless. this is the entire point that has been missed ever since I join the league.
Either way. Good luck finding another owner. Check your email.

What became of Al Horford and reddick?
Posted on 12/3/18 at 11:25 am to rmcc316
Guys like Ariza have fetched 1st round picks at the deadline or young/injured players in the past. Nobody is saying you needed to keep Ariza as a building block, but you could have certainly traded him for an asset instead of dropping him to pick up Zach Randolph.

Ariza would have never fetched a 1st rounder. It's ok to disagree with rmcc and still be realistic. He could have packaged him with some other guys but nobody in this league was going to give him a 1st for Ariza. Still shouldn't have just dropped him.

You are in a different realm of unrealism.

I ended up trading them. I think I got Jayson Tatum in the Reddick trade with two or three other players. I then traded Jayson Tatum and adebayo for Prince and Mitchell Robinson who I'm very high on. That's what said the league into hysterics again.
Edit.. I don't think I had horford after all. I don't remember. I had a lot of JJ redick in Trevor ariza types though. I made tons of trade offers before the season started and nobody was biting because my players were too old.

Posted on 12/3/18 at 11:48 am to GynoSandberg

Posted on 12/3/18 at 11:49 am to MrPappagiorgio
