Yes, but you don't really have any assets. You're not even a lock to get a 1st or 2nd pick. We do a lotto. I had the worst record 2 years in a row and never got the top pick.

In my trade for McGee I traded you a pick...that was a good deal for you. I am guessing Tom did not. I traded you a young dynasty piece for older guys. You traded that piece and didn't get much in return. I don't think it was horrible, but you should have asked for more considering you no longer have any elite dynasty assets.

Just looking at your roster, I don't see how you plan to compete in 2 years. Your best bet is to land an elite player via draft and try to flip him, unless you are in this for the really long haul like I was before I decided to compete (still not sure I made the right move).

I just don't think you realize the value in top 100 tyoe guys in a 14 team, 20 roster dynasty league. At least with the roster you have now you can afford to gamble, but not on damian dotson types.

Wait, so I kinda got Tatum, Schroeder, Adebayo, and Ariza for Prince, MRob, and some FAAB bucks

I went from having aging players that no one wants to young players that no one wants. At least now I have a chance at one of these dudes breaking out. I knew none of the old players were breaking out. I made probably 20 trade offers early in the year that were all rejected with Trevor Ariza types. I made counter-offered and all of those were rejected.

At some point, you take what you can get because I had no choice.

This is what I don't get. You make it sound like I traded a top 20 guy for a top 80 guy. Tatum is on average 10 or 15 spots ranked ahead of Prince and in my opinion, Prince will have more opportunity going forward. You aren't taking into account I was high on Prince before the season. I also intrigued by Robinson due to his insanely hit shot block stats. I would have not done this w/o Robinson. I think he has a high ceiling. I don't get why people think this is such a radical trade. I can understand people disagreeing it but its weird to me the hysteria it has caused.

Me neither. There was no path to compete in the next 2 years before my trades either. That's the point. I don't know how else to explain this. My team was an old sucky team with no potential before. It's now a young sucky team with an outside shot at potential.

When people don't accept my trade offers for top 100 guys, it doesn't' really matter if my roster is filled with top 100 guys or to 1000 guys when the end result is finishing in the bottom of the league either way. If I was competing, of course, I would keep Ariza types. If not, I'm going to take 10 young guys hoping just 1 or 2 become legit fantasy options.

Dotson went from average 2 points per game to 10 this year. Whose to say he doesn't jump to 15 next year and 20 the next? I don't know. I doubt it, but I do know Trevor Ariza or, god forbid, Justis Winslow wasn't going to do it?

Honestly compare these 2 players:

Player A - 9.8PPG , .4 BLK, 1.1 STL, 3.3 AST, 5.4 RB, 85% FT, 37 FG%, 36 3FG% in 34 MPG.

Player B- 10.5 PPG, .1 BLK, .9 STL, 1.0 STL, 1.0 AST, 4.3 RB, 52 FG%, 36% 3FG%, in 26 MPG.

A is Ariza and B is Dotson and Dotson is only 24. Ariza is like 52. ..and please dont turn this into me having to defind Dotson. I'm 75% sure he won't amount to anything 3-4 years from now. What I do now is Trevor Ariza would be less 3-4 years from now.

Fact. Anyone saying they can kinda understand this trade either don’t know anything about basketball (21JS) and/or dont understand this is a dynasty league.

You should be delighted to have an idiot in your league that you can easily defeat then.

I have no idea if Prince will break out or not but to say that its a fact he won't shows dumbness.

"Taurean Prince, the third-year small forward, is poised to break out. He may be the best player on the Hawks next season, and barely anyone knows about him. His rookie year he ended up starting for a playoff team, and last year, he took a big jump. "

"Why Taurean Prince Could Be In Line For A Breakout Year"

Uproxx.com

"But I’m most looking forward to tracking the continued advancement of Prince, who made a Jimmy Butler–esque leap in Year 2, showing off most of the requisite skills you’d hope for in a power wing: confident, high-volume 3-point shooting; secondary playmaking; and stout individual defense across multiple positions."

TheRinger.com

"Prince had a stellar final stretch of the season, in which he scored at least 20 points in 14 of his final 22 games."

No one knows.

...and again, everyone forgets Mitchel Robinson who is putting up ridiculous block numbers.

Prince may breakout in his 3rd season. COOL. Tatum broke out in his first.

if you think Jayson Tatum has broke out then statistically Prince has as well.

Prince is statistically just behind Tatum this year and has dealt with injuries. I'm sorry you did not do your research and know who the guy is but he does have great potential.

You're being ridiculous

You make a lot of assumptions. I know who Prince is. I made Thom an offer for the guy a while back, I believe prior to the season. I realize he is a top-70 kind of guy. Thanks for the education though.

I also know that Tatum is a better long-term dynasty asset. Find me any dynasty rankings, especially for a rebuild team, that would suggest Prince is a better piece than Tatum. At that point, I'll stop being ridiculous.

Oh and congrats on running an already shitty team further into the ground.

Either you are not reading anything or have reading comprehension issues.

Not better, but hashtag has Tatum 12 and Prince 21 in their rebuilding ranking. Pretty damn close. McCain said he likes Mitch Rob better than Bam and I bet half of the league probably does too.

Thursday's on the block report, sponsored by Yoo-Hoo.

Westbrook: Avg 23/10/10 on the year.

Lou Will: Avg 18/3/4

RoCo: Might be the first 2+2+2 fantasy guy in history

CJM: Steller line with excellent %ages

Whiteside: Leading league in blocks and boards

Some other guys that can be filler in a blockbuster or sent off at a good price:

Barnes, WCS, Hood, Zeller, Taj

We looking for some building block dynasty guys. Multiple pieces for Russ or CJM.

I'm reasonable to deal with, HMU.

I know you have taken notice of mudiay lately, he has already jumped frank. Really coming into his own. Spellman well he also looks to have great fantasy upside. Has had outbursts in steals, blocks, and threes already in his young career. And of course Zachy Collins. We got some prospects over here for sure.
