It is about scoring as many points as possible, but wins/losses are more important

Why are YOU so against the idea that maybe this IS a better way? I've laid out all the evidence that is needed to support my argument.

Then fricking drop the playoffs and lets go t6b6 all fricking year long for 16 weeks i don't give a frick. I just want to award the best mother fricking team.

I would have still won it all last year in that format as well. 13-3

Who's next?

Line up!

Y'all gonna learn TO-DAY!

Also I am trying to understand how $150 is not enough? I'd much rather $150 vs $0

I was statistically the best team and ended up with $0.00

Awarding $300 to the team that scores more points than any other team helps to eliminate the luck factor in fantasy football. I was 13-3 in t6b6 last year and had the most total points.

Not sure what else I have to say.

Yall trying to tell me that deserves $50 profit and I'm saying that deserves a minimum of $200.

Playoff winner still wins $600

I dont care about your team last year, that's the only argument you bring up. I dont think someone who went 0-2 in the playoffs should deserve 25% of the pot

I am done arguing. Just put it to a vote and see what everybody says.

Currently I have 3 votes to your 1

I like to be rewarded a bit more fairly as an owner for my combo of draft, trades and waiver moves.

You seem to want to keep that reward AWAY from the best teams? Why is that?

You are rewarded for making those moves in the regular season by wining $150.

You then have to continue that success into the playoffs

Poor team management may have been why you went 0-2 in the playoffs.
Every sports season builds towards playoffs, so it makes sense for fantasy to also build towards playoffs for those of us who are competitive.
And yes luck plays a factor in winning the playoffs, but so does team management.
This mentality for participation trophies really gives millennials a bad name.

And that reward is not fair based on my season performance vs the team that won the "playoffs."

That's my whole point.

You're arguing for a 10-6 team, 3rd in points getting $750 and the 13-3, 1st in points getting only $150. How is that close to being a fair payout structure?

I'm saying that the payouts last year should have been:
$600 for the 10-6, 3rd place points team
$300 for the 13-3, 1st place points team.

That is at least MORE FAIR and removes some of the luck bias that a playoff system brings.

I didn't go 0-2

Won a BYE and then had a bad 2nd week of the playoffs.

Yeah, I don't think you grasp the concept of participation trophies if that's what you think this is doing.

There would only be 3-4 teams winning money under my scenario each season. And they would hands down be the best teams in the league and would be awarded fairly based on their combo of total season points and playoff performances.

Sounds good to me.

Because you new guys are arguing for luck I am arguing for more overall skill.

That's basically what this vote comes down to.

My suggested payout structure would remove more of the luck bias and last year's system pays out more for luck.

Clearly, I vote $300 for the points race.

Skill includes in season management. And I have won more than one fantasy championship having clearly the best team in week 8-9 and making a trade to improve my team for the playoffs. In some cases, other managers chided me (once even collusion accusations) for a terrible trade “helping another team to win more regular season games”

ETA: of course I missed doing the exact same thing more times than it worked out so who knows what is better. Just tell me the rules of the game and I am happy to play and compete.

You're obviously paassionate about your opinion and thats fine, but you also show your age and ignorance. It really doesn't matter at this point and you should have stated your position before the leagues payment this year. The comish already posted payouts and teams have payed. Without unanimous approval your argument on change regardless of how misplaced it is is irrelevant. I agree to the payout in which the commish posted, and to yours which he has clearly heard many arguments I am against it. Next year before people actually pay to this league it should be decided for obvious reasons.

Agree wholeheartedly, to that point the payouts should remain:

1st $850
2nd $250
3rd $100

Unless majority votes otherwise. I signed up for the above payout, so my vote is for it to remain as above unless an official vote changes. Cajun should offer the vote with the reee options. To clarify, my vote changes to the existing payout structure.

My proposal is no change to existing payout. If you aren’t lucky enough (or you suck as a manager enough) to not make top playoff spots, I support no compensation whatsoever.
