I'd possibly be interested in joining if draft is on the 19th and once the payouts are decided. I'll check this thread again this afternoon to see how everything shakes out.
I think the 19th is good with everyone so far.
If you really care enough about the payouts to determine whether or not you want to play I’ll vote for whatever you want lol.
Have you done auction before?

I don’t care about payouts just need a draft day so I can rearrange my work schedule.
Also need to know before draft of any changes from last year.
Scoring
TE premium
2 flex 1 flex
Def or no
Kicker or no
I can’t remember if we got rid of def and kicker last year.

I scheduled the draft for 8/19 at 7:30 pm. If this is an issue for anyone, let me know.

I'm cool with it but if we can 7 PM that would be great, if not no big deal

No changes.
Standard format for PPR. 1 flex.
We have kickers and defense in this league.

Draft time is great. This isn't a league I'm in yet and no dog in fight, but I'm not a fan of paying out highest scorer unless its entry fee return and I do like paying 3rd place. Thats why I was waiting to speak up on if I'd join or not. Don't want to be someone that sways a league one way or another in their decisions.
I have done an auction draft once before but it was a couple years ago, but did want to get back into one.

The plan is to keep it the same. If there was enough people who wanted the change I would have went with it. Seems there is only 1 or 2 who wanted to pay out regular season high points.

Are we going to vote on payouts DJ? Most people haven’t chimed in, probably not keeping up with the thread.
I have another owner ready if that changes croxley’s decision.
He’s in the TD dynasty league as well. Has a TD account but doesn’t post much.

Changing the payout structure significantly changes a season and draft/auction strategy. That RB who is injured or whose starting O-line starts season on PUP loses a lot of value, where keeping them on the bench to help your playoff run is a viable strategy for playoff and championship.
Draft philosophy and season management may change also since drafting PUP players hurts your chances at the highest score pot.
Should also try to choose players who will be better at the start of season, rather than those who will be steady all season or help you during playoffs.
Things managers should consider if payouts are spilt with two different goals.

If I were suggesting we completely change the payout structure, then maybe I could see you point, but under the payout structure I proposed, 75% of the prize pool is still going towards the "playoffs." I was simply asking you guys to open your minds a bit and try one season where we allocate 25% of the prize pool for a points race component. If you win the playoffs and the points race then you take home a total of $900.
It was just an honest attempt at improving our league's process for awarding the best teams each season. All I can do is make the suggestion, provide my reasoning and hope it gets put to a vote. Majority always rules. No hard feelings.

It's updated on the league page now.
