I don't really agree with Lester's projections but that's two people who have looked at my team and weren't impressed.

I think if we see the stud Ethier again, then that is a pretty stout lineup (and Quentin comes back ok).

I remember after you did the picks again Rondo said he was supposed to get one of my picks (an 8th). I didn't question it, but he had extra picks and I was short. I remember thinking something didn't sound right but since everything had been canceled and redone I was confused as to what picks I actually had.

If it was your 8th, then you had actually traded that pick to Ian.

I had originally set it up where I gave you Ian's 8th round pick instead of giving him yours.

So you probably thought you had 2 8th round picks.

When Ian pointed it out that i had it wrong, I corrected it. I gave him his 8th round pick back, and also traded him your 8th round pick that was supposed to go to him originally.

so those were probably the 2 picks you thought you had. What i may not have done was trade one of his last picks back to you.

ETA: you can still read the original trade on the front page:

My pitching does have me on edge..especially with Halladay...once I saw how many SPs teams were taking, I decided to just go bat heavy.

When did you rank me last, and when did I ever get up in arms about it in this thread anyway?

Port, you got a lot riding on people needing to repeat last year, including the ace of your staff..if they do, you'll be in the playoff hunt no doubt

Yeah I'm not trippin. No one wants to be ranked near the bottom but in this league the playing field is much more evened out. I can see my team not being as sexy as others because I took the Big Gyne approach and kept guys like Berk and Konerko, who I think will still be productive. Plus I don't have an ace but I think one will emerge from this group. All of this stuff makes for good conversation. It will all play out in the season. I try to draft without factoring team rankings in. This year I felt my core had enough pop to compete with teams not named Clams and Toula so I focused on pitching and speed.

Lester, I appreciate the time and effort you put into your rankings. But, if I had to guess, you've never ranked me higher than the middle spot in ANY league. And while its cool for everyone to talk about how terrible I am, I've recently placed 3rd/24 in TDFL and have a good chance to make the TDBBL playoofs.

Injuries fricked me hard in year one of this league (Morales being one). Last year was bad. I will prob win the league this year.

12. Cwill

Hitting: His top hitters are not up to par with some of the top teams, or even some of the middle tier teams. His draft was hot and cold. I liked the Neil Walker pick. Mayberry not so much. He really needs Heyward to rebound, and Hosmer to take the next step. Otherwise, I he will scratch to make the playoffs. 3 out of 14

Pitching: Pitching is better than hiting. Lester, Wilson, Garza is a decent top 3. Niemann is good for a spot start here and there. What will Zambrano bring? Only has 1 closer but 2 solid mid relief guys. The players on his bench are worthless, imo. I have Will at 7 of 14

This is so unfair. I am so mad.

there's several teams with 8-11 SPs and zero bats on the bench.

You have Gamel starting, is there a big difference b/t he and LaHair?

Soriano 20+ HRs and drove in 80+ last year, Moreland can hit 20+ bombs.

Dis league is in its period when it comes to talking about their players
