take into context he hits an average of 9 HR's a season and that is pretty damn good.
you arent exactly being punished for having Ichiro
even that though is a pretty extreme comparison. About as extreme as you can get.

average is suppoed to keep ichiro on a level playing field with an adam dunn. ops does not do that
in our leage dunn is a top 30 batter. ichiro is in the 100s

i value steals just not to the level you do, especially not at the cost of power or having another top player who i could keep.
Ichiro's OPS doesnt hurt you. He scores 100 runs a season. And he drives in runs well for a leadoff hitter.
its not like we are talking juan pierre or michale bourn here.
and you're basically talking about Nate McClouth when u say i dont value steals. It isnt that, its just that i dont think he is that good overall. He doesnt steal enough bases to be an impact guy considering he is average at everything else.

but you still understand the overall argument, and thats that a guy like adam dunn is a top 30 hitter in our league but would barely be top 50 in a standard league. regardless, ops favors doubles and homer guys, its just not arguable really
