Mid August would be ideal.. after a few weeks of pre season.
I drafted Ryan Mathews last year before the pre-season in the first round. Broken collar bone screwed me.

Haha.... After the 3rd preseason game is usually the best time to draft. Starters dont usually play in the 4th week so dont have to worry about injuries.

Yeah that's the line-up I was going to go with..especially the TE/RB/WR in the flex.
Scoring..I'll look at the league I am in every year and post those. They are really nice.

Ok awesome. Yea i love the flex where youre able to put a TE in there if you want to.
And 1 way we do the scoring in my league is QB passing TD is 4 pts instead of 6pts. It puts QBs on the same level as other positions. If you do it with 6pts per passing TD it becomes a QB heavy draft and league. Just an opinion.

I work 6-6 every day, but I might be on nights by draft time so I really can't say when the best time for me would be.

I like this roster. QB 4 pts/TD is my preference there. I'm available nights starting in August; don't have time til then. I like doing it after the third preseason game like you guys suggested too.
We should really do an auction draft. It's more strategic, goes by in the same amount of time (or less usually when I've done them), and gives everyone a fair whack at whichever players they want.

I can top that. Drafted Ricky Williams 3 days before he suddenly retired. Used a 2nd or 3rd rounder on him cuz the dude was getting like 1,500 yards a season.
