These are the times when I wish, before the season starts, the league comes to an agreement. The commish will check all lineups daily and if one is not properly set, he will insert players for him. If there are more than 1 players available to be inserted from his bench, the player with the most points out of say the last 30 days is put in. Sure, it'll never work because people are too scared and will call it cheating when in reality, it's about the only way you can get 12 people to finish a season when you can potentially have a new lineup every day. Sure, you can set it for weeks at a time but obviously it's not working.

for next year though I would be down. 6 team playoff might also help with activity also greater chance of it coming down to the wire

Great, as a roster Nazi, I would love this responsibility. Obviously we might run into issues where players are not picking up spot starts but never leaving a bench player out.
Now, would this apply to injuries as well? Say it's announced 30 minutes before tip off the player will not play and the owner doesn't see it in time. He may be a regular and active but as someone who checks rotoworld multiple times a day, I think we could alleviate this as well and keep the owner and the opponents happy.
