Played last year and did ok. But really don’t know many of the good tips on drafting a team. For example, my number 1 pick last year was Mahomes. But now I’m seeing not to take a QB I’m the first round.
It’s a non keeper league. Head to head. If any of that matters.
Any tips for a new player? List of top picks I should be looking for?

Beersheets is the best resource I've found. Beersheets form go to the link, enter your leagues scoring setup and then either print off or pull it up on your CPU during the draft. As someone is taken cross them off.
Do you know what your draft position is? Is it PPR (points per reception)?

What pick are you drafting at and is it ppr, half ppr, or standard?

It’s an ESPN league. Looks like 1 point per reception. 0.04 points per passing yards.
Head to head. Not sure what spot I’m drafting yet.

It is hard to give advice without the draft spot. The beersheets link that the guy above posted is a really good resource.

If you're gonna find out before the draft, be sure to do some mock drafts either through the app or on the website. Try taking different positions and different draft slots that you'll ne drafting in to see what you like the best.
There are also mock drafts posted on the ESPN website and the FantasyPros website. Check those out to get an idea of how your draft will/should look.

Do some mock drafts on ESPN from the 5 spot. Try taking a RB in round 2 a few times, a WR a few times and even try taking Waller. Then see how the rest of your draft may play out. You will get a sense of what players will be available to you in each round and go with whatever strategy gives you the roster that you think is the best.
