Yahoo league. Commish says he didn't set the scoring, but it clearly says the Yahoo default scoring is 0 points for a missed field goal. Our league has it set at -1 points for a missed field goal up to 19 yards and -2 points for a missed field goal 20 to 29 yards.

Also, a missed extra point is -3 points. Should I even bother to start a fricking kicker?

The league I run penalizes -1 for a missed FG up to 39 yards and -3 for missed XP. Both of those should be pretty routine, especially the XP.

I don't believe we had more than 1 or 2 kickers go negative last year, so you shouldn't need to worry about it.

literally makes no fricking sense...why should you lose less for missing an easier field goal but then get hammered for the extra point...

ALL FGs should be 3 fricking points. Kickers should be a fantasy afterthought. It is completely ridiculous than in many starndard leagues a kicker can get 5 points for a fg but a qb 4 points for a td.

Our league loses more points for shorter misses. We also don't lose points for missed xp, because the majority of XP misses involved botched snaps and are not the kickers fault at all.

losing point for the shorter FGs is fair game IMO
