So I just joined a league that LOVES bonus points.
Quick breakdown on what I mean.

All touchdowns are 6 points. It's a PPR

Bonus points as follows:
Passing 5 points at 300, 3 more at 350, 2 more at 400
Rushing Receiving 5 points at 100, 3 more at 150, 2 more at 200

5 points for all TDs 40+ yards.

QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/TE,Flex(RB,WR,TE)

I am big on not drafting QBs early. But in this format would you go against the grain and take one early? I am picking 4th. Was planning on going Julio.

This is my first year in this league no not quite sure how the draft normally goes so I can't provide much insight on the normal drafting of top tier QBs but I'd imagine it's pretty early considering the bonuses.

Thoughts?

I think it's reasonable to consider taking a QB a bit earlier than normal, but definitely not in the 1st round. Late round 3 would be when I would start considering taking one of the top guys. If your league members take a bunch of QBs early, you'll get great value by taking the RBs and WRs that fall farther than they should.

We do something similar. If you cant get an elite tier one guy early, then settle for someone that is in that 2nd tier like Cousins, Winston, Luck, Roethlisberger. All Qb's will be going 2-3 rounds earlier than youre used to. I have the 4th pick as well and im targeting Brown if he falls, then Julio, then OBJ. If I were picking at the back end, I would target Brees, Brady, Rodgers.
