This is not a surprise after Yeldon dominated touches early in the third preseason game, but there had been rumblings Denard Robinson could open the season as the starter. Denard Robinson is listed as second on the running back depth chart.
Yeldon, who is a second-round pick out of Alabama, rushed for 10 yards on eight carries in only one preseason game. He did have a rushing touchdown, while also totaling one catch for 12 yards.
Yeldon missed time during training camp while nursing a finger injury.
