The team is awaiting further tests. Whisenhunt says the Cards would keep Doucet on the roster, rather than place him on I.R., if he needed surgery. Steve Breaston, after a seven-catch opener, has seen his fantasy value solidified. He's no longer going to lose snaps or targets to Doucet, and showed an impressive rapport with Derek Anderson on underneath and over-the-middle passes in Week 1. Doucet can be dropped in 10- and 12-team leagues.

It's surprising that a local source didn't have this news first, but Balzer is a reliable source. Johnson was averaging a scant 0.4 yards on five early-season carries, including one ten-yard loss that probably landed him permanently in Mike Shanahan's doghouse. Keiland Williams, a fine waiver wire addition, will take over as Clinton Portis' backup. Ryan Torain could be re-signed to handle No. 3 duties.
