re: How many trades have you made this year?

Not a single trade in my league this year. I think everyone is too skeptical of everyone else.
You gotta give up value to get value.
League's that don't trade probably consist of people throwing out shitty deals.

I think we can all agree that an active league that trade's a lot is much more fun.
Disagree that trades are necessary for fun.
Trades are rare in my league. We are very competitive. No one wants to be the guy that helps another team get better. But my league is very active and tons of fun.
I think trading is just part of a particular league's culture. In our culture, no one trades.

yea, but at the same time you are making your team better.
Can't have that mind set when making a trade.
The whole point is, at the end of the day, is your team better.

In a dynasty league since March I have made 39 trades
I have 0 players on my team from last year
I have the hottest team in the league right now.
I made 14 in another dynasty league
My line up is way better
I made 7 in a keeper league
My line up is way better
In regular leagues I have made 1, 1 and 3 and I feel all my line ups are better.
Hoping to get at least 2 or 3 championships.

Never traded before this year but I'm now the biggest trader in the league, I think I'm at 3-4 now
Before the season I got Jordan Matthews for Alfred Morris (win)
Then I traded Denver D for Jimmy Graham (not liking this in hindsight, but I had the Rams D so it seemed like a decent gamble)
Then last week I got someone whose been decimated by injuries and underperforming backs take an overreactionary trade of Legarette Blount for Brandon Marshall (he offered it to me and I clicked accept so fast I almost broke my phone). It remains to be seen but I don't see Blount outperforming Marshall in any games, maybe once or twice
Now I'm trying to maybe trade for a better TE because I still have better depth than anyone else in the league and I kind of want to just go all in for a playoff run here pretty soon

Haha if I went through all of my transactions I'd be here all day.
I've never done this many but its for $700 first place.

The best trade that I've made so far was one every person called me crazy for. Back in week 3, I was desperate for WR help so I traded Le'Veon Bell for Todd Gurley, James Jones and Alshon Jeffrey. It was nearly vetoed and I had basically beg the commissioner to understand why I was doing it.

Holy shite haha. That might be the biggest win ever.
My best trade was I traded Dion Lewis and Amari Cooper for Alshon Jeffery 2 weeks ago. The guy said Alshon had one big game so he didn't care to let him go.
Dion went down and Alshon is tearing it up haha.

I also didn't mention that we charge a transaction fee of $5 per team for each trade. We also charge $5 per loss, and $5 per waiver wire pick up. First place is significantly over $1000.
But the money doesn't drive the disinclination to trade. It's suspicion.

Before the injury not sure about this trade.

the week after Dez got hurt, I gave up Foster for him
the week before Steve Smith got hurt, I traded him for Yeldon
two weeks before Leveon got hurt, I picked up D'Angelo and stashed him
then I flipped Dez and D'Angelo for Hopkins and Lacy

Traded Golden Tate for Gurley in week 2 saved my bacon
Traded Decker and Maclin for AJ Green last week (eh we will see)
Traded Woodhead for Forte this week (If he plays next week
, if not
)
Traded Gio for Lacey this week (FML)
Brees, Julio, Odell, AJ Green, and Gurley should win me damn near every matchup as long as they don't all sh!t the bed at once.

1 trade that happened this week:
Traded Delanie Walker/Ryan Mathews for
Jordan Matthews/C West.
I have Jordan Reed as the replacement TE. I think I came out good. Needed a third RB and a decent WR option.
