Your post is pointless, what you completely fail to acknowledge is that Charles was probably drafted in the 2nd or 3rd round of most leagues while Dalton may have gone undrafted or definitely super late. Thus the person who went Foster+Dalton ALSO I repeat ALSO has a 2nd rd pick!

The person who went Brees+Charles has a 12th rd pick if you are trying to make a comparison to the above situation.

What would you rather have: Brees+Charles+12th rd pick or Foster+2nd rd pick+Dalton????

You have to look at WHERE these people are drafted, it isn't a simple points:points comparison, it is all about VALUE.

I agree.

Also, it's skewed because of the number of rbs you play. Most leagues play 1qb and some players play up to 3 rbs a week.

What's the difference between the #1 and 12 qb, compared to the #1 rb and around the 30th rb?

In a PPR league with 6 point TD, the difference in QB's is bigger than RB's.

What you have to remember is that most leagues aren't like this... Therefore in most leagues the point separation is different

My point was not about that. It was about the difference between the top tier and mid tier RB's.

I just used Charles because I was comparing the tenth best RB's and QB's. I could have compared them with Stafford and McGahee or Stafford and Charles or Dalton and McGahee or whatever. The names and draft positions are irrelevant in this example because players break out and falter in all positions.

The point was that the gap between elite QB's and mediocre ones is greater than the gap for RB's.

Unless you own Rice, Foster, or Shady, you will be much safer off spending your first pick on a QB. You cannot win the league with your first pick, but you sure as hell can lose. I am just looking consistently good production, and an elite QB gives you your best chance at accomplishing that.

Would you rather own Brees and Ridley (#1 QB and #15 RB) or Foster and Dalton (#1 RB and #10 QB)?

Brees = 28.96 ppg
Ridley = 13.84 ppg
Foster= 20.86 ppg
Dalton = 19.92 ppg

Brees/Ridley = 42.80 ppg
Foster/Dalton = 40.78 ppg

We both know that Brees and Foster are guaranteed first-round studs, but it is a better to find value in RB's because the gap from Ridley to Foster is smaller than Brees to Dalton.
