Redd, I don't know how good your team is, but I have a really different feeling about Pollock. If you can make the playoffs without him, he could maybe return in August or September.

My offense was probably good enough to still make the playoffs without him. It really came down to me questioning if he would ever be the same player.

If this is the case, I just don't see Arizona letting him come back this season. You gotta expect them to be extra cautious with him in the recovery process. With my luck, he will have surgery and they will say "oh it wasnt as bad as we thought. he will be back in 6-8 weeks." Then I break shite.

He was on my watch list after reading the Badler tweet and article about him describing how hard Cashman went to bat to keep him.

One day I'll finally realize that holding on to players destined to be AAAA are holding me back.

De Leon is destined to be AAAA. Trade him to me.

I can't imagine he would be on the field that soon. Maybe baseball activities at most.

Motherfrick

I was searching to add Montas at approximately 3 am this morning

Redd, I thought last year we turned off the settings that wouldn't allow us to make an add/drop without making our lineup illegal.

For instance, I tried to outright drop Bailey. Wouldn't let me. I tried to drop Bailey and add a MiLB player, wouldn't let. It was late, so I might have been fricking up doing something, but it was a pain in the arse.

Hmm, not sure. Where was Bailey on your roster when you dropped him? Bench?

I'll take a look when I get back to a computer, but I haven't changed any settings recently.

On my bench. I was able to drop him for Pham, but not outright or to add an MiLB player -- was going to put Olivera on my bench

What up with that?

Pretty sure I saw that happen earlier this year, but thought I was missing something

Apparently a player only goes on waivers if he is team plays a game between the time he is added and the time he was dropped.

I'll research again if that can be changed, but I was unable to the last time this came up.

If anyone is vehemently opposed to me adding him, I'll drop him. I think we will still be at the same point though in that he won't go through waivers.

As Pompey's owner, that was lazy not to scoop him up. Now I just have to wait until he gets injured again
