It's been like that since the league's inception. I have it dozens of times over the years. It's not new.

Ive seen the message before, but was allowed to still make the transaction until this year.

f the player you are dropping has not played, but the player you are claiming has, then you can execute the transaction at any time, and it will take effect for the following period.

This is what it says in the settings, and that is what has happened in prior years. This year though, its not letting you make the transaction at all.

Right I remember seeing the message before and the lineup being reflected the next day. But now it won't even let you process it.

LATEST NEWS
APR 25, 8:10 AM EDT
The Tigers promoted Mize from High-A Lakeland to Double-A Erie on Thursday, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

ANALYSIS
The Florida State League proved to be no challenge for Mize, who allowed just one run on seven hits and one walk over 26 innings while striking out 25. He'll face a stiffer test as he makes the move to the Eastern League, with his Erie debut set to come Sunday. Mize will occupy the same rotation as another hyped Tigers pitching prospect in Matt Manning, perhaps giving Erie the best 1-2 starter combination of any Double-A squad.

Casey Mize, DET – Threw an eight-inning one-hitter. The first overall pick in last year’s draft has been stellar so far. He’s now thrown 26 innings, allowed only one earned run, and struck out 25. Will we see him this year? Possibly, but I wouldn’t be willing to bet much on it. Matt Manning also pitched well again for Erie, striking out nine and walking none in six innings yesterday. In his case, I do think there will be a promotion to Detroit this summer.

Tigers: Casey Mize, RHP (No. 1, MLB No. 16) -- 8 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K (Class A Advanced Lakeland); Matt Manning, RHP (No. 2, MLB No. 49) -- 6 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 9 K (Double-A Erie)
No pitcher has dominated to begin the season quite like Mize. In his latest stellar performance, the 2018 No. 1 overall pick retired the final 20 batters he faced en route to completing a career-high eight innings. He faced one over the minimum in the outing, recording four strikeouts and 13 groundouts while throwing 69 of his 82 pitches for strikes. As for his overall numbers, the 21-year-old right-hander has pitched to a 0.35 ERA, a 0.31 WHIP and a 25/1 K/BB rate over 26 innings (four starts) in the Florida State League. He’s held hitters to an .085 average. Manning was equally brilliant for Erie and retired nine of the first 10 batters he faced. The 21-year-old has given up one run or less in three of his four starts this season and has amassed 32 strikeouts in just 22 2/3 innings.

I think I just put a baby in these Wander nuggets

quote:

Franco is now hitting .333/.420/.621. Franco now leads the Midwest League with 11 extra-base hits. He is fifth in the league with 41 total bases. He ranks fourth in the league in slugging percentage (.621), sixth in OPS (1.041) and sixth in hits (22). He’s also the youngest player in the league by a significant margin.

quote:

Since April 20, he has nine hits including those five extra-base hits. Over that stretch he has swung the bat 25 times. He’s swung and missed once. In those 22 plate appearances he hasn't struck out. Actually, pitchers have managed to get two strikes on him only three times in those 22 plate appearances.

quote:

On Opening Day, Franco swung and missed three times among his 11 swings. Blame that on Opening Day jitters. Because since then, he’s swung and missed only four times in nearly four weeks--a stretch covering 70 at-bats. Franco not only hasn’t had an at-bat where he swung and missed twice since Opening Day, he hasn’t had a game where he swung and missed twice. Already this season, he’s had a 19-at-bat stretch where he didn’t swing-and-miss as well as another 20 at-bat streak without swinging-and-missing.

And that’s not because Franco is hitting the first pitch he sees. Normally, he’s facing pitchers who are nibbling in respect to his hitting ability and power. While pitchers normally throw strikes on roughly 60 percent of their offerings, pitchers have thrown strikes to Franco only 49 percent of the time. But with an excellent batting eye and those rare bat-to-ball skills, Franco rarely is induced to chase.

In other news, Chris sale is getting rocked again.

Going into last year, where would have Sale and Syndergaard ranked in dynasty compared to now. Wow.

I’m 8th in power rankings.
18th in standings.

Playing Gyno, Swamie, and Earl to start the season will do that to ya. Doesn’t get any easier with Dirt Dawgs and MWG headed my way the next two weeks.
