It would be for sure... I went back and forth on that deal because he's not likely to start for the Astros, but TTown sweetened the deal enough to where I couldn't say no.

Damn, that couldnt happen two days ago before the trade? He would have been the first one in the Astros rotation once the first injury to SP hits, imo, so I still expected to make quite a few starts this year. But having him in a NL rotation from the start will be damn nice for Boo if he goes there.

Astros looking for a TORP, trades for Cole who finishes with an ERA around 4. Peacock strikes out 200+ batters and finishes as a top 15 starting pitcher. The Pirates get prospects in return.

Even if last years version of Peacock was no fluke, Cole has thrown 200+ IP in 2 outta 3 years. With LMJ & Morton already in the rotation maybe getting their sub 130 IP as usual, Stros probably really value another innings eater to save the BP arms. 
Edit: and of course depends which version of Cole you're getting too. Last years version or the guy who has a 3.3 FIP in every year of his career up to that point.

Moran is a nice player, but he was blocked anyway. Those other guys... yeah, basically nothing.
