Seager just turned 24. If I wanted to sell low it would have been in the offseason. I knew he needed this since ST and his numbers this year were too low to sell on proving it.

Even with a healthy Seager I needed a little more to beat the top teams in a two week championship match. Unless I get something that makes me think I can still win this year I'll look forward to a healthy season next year from Seager.

Besides, I just scooped up Nick Ahmed to hold it down.

You’d be better off just keeping Seager and blowing the rest of it up. Old as frick, you are.

You been looking at my spreadsheet!?

Seager, Rendon, and Strasburg are the core. The rest are already on the block. Will decide on Scherzer and Pham in another month or so.

Holla when you get serious about moving them. I’ve got more rebuild pieces that the rest of these fricks combined.

Kingham was expected to head back to Triple-A Indianapolis after making a spot start against the Cardinals on Sunday, but an impressive outing in his big-league debut -- which saw him carry a perfect game into the seventh inning and finish with nine strikeouts -- prompted the Pirates to keep him in their rotation for the time being. Steven Brault, who had reached the sixth inning in just one of his first five starts this season, was sent to the bullpen to open up a rotation spot for Kingham.
