There isn't a single team in this league that doesn't have a spot for Adam Eaton in their starting lineup.

He'd be a nice 4th OF for me.

He's better than every OF on your team with the exception of maybe Braun.

He's definitely not better than Braun... not really even close.

Grichuk/Kiermaier/Eaton is a toss-up all around. Grichuk is going to have the advantage in HR/RBI/SLG over the other two, but a low OBP and negligible NSB. Kiermaier is going to have the advantage in NSB while still contributing solidly in the other stats, especially Runs if he stays at the top of the lineup. Eaton is going to score the most and likely get on base the most, but not help out as much in HR/RBI/SLG.

So... all depends on the rest of the team.

In this league, with age being a factor, and the question of where Braun ends up when the Brewers move him, it definitely is close. Obviously Braun is more valuable THIS year, but over the long haul...I just don't know.

Well, I'm currently playing for this year.

If I was on your 5-year plan, I might take Eaton... except that you know Braun would get better trade value down the stretch.

In two years, Braun will be 35. Have you seen what the market is for 35 year old OFs in this league? With the exception of some dumbass giving up George Springer for one, its been pretty damn depressing.

Wait, I thought you were trying to win in 2 years, not rebuild again?

Anyone actually watching the Yankees/Rays game? Curious how Montgomery is looking up on the mound. I can see the box score, 2-run HR to Weeks, but 4 swinging strikeouts through 3 IP is encouraging.

He looks pretty damn good so far. Made a mistake to Weeks but that's about it.

2nd and 3rd time through will be telling. He has a nice little pitch mix though

Right on... feel like he has been overlooked by the prospect rankings... maybe he just didn't have the plus 'stuff' of other guys?

His numbers in the minors were pretty good all the way through.
